부여 기마족이 왜를 정벌해 일본을 세웠다는 것이다. 이를 미국 학자가 제기했다.
고조선 이후 부여가 세워지고 후에 북부여 동부여로 나뉜다.
부여, 고구려, 백제는 서로 상당히 혈연적, 정치적으로 가까웠던 건 너무나 잘 알려진 사실이다.
백제 경우 고구려 황권 싸움에서 진 서소노 일파가 세웠다.
또 이 학자는 가야 역시 부여 기마족 일파이며 삼국이 아닌 4국으로 불러야 한다고 주장했다.

According to this news, Buyeo tribe (Korean) built a proto-Japanese nation after conquering Waegu.

뭐 물론 한국 학자들은 이미 알고 있었고 관련 책도 많이 냈지만,
미국의 동양미술 사학자인 존 카터 코벨이 연구하고 이런 기록을 남겼다니 놀라지 않을 수 없다.
